For this “Moon & Tree” piece, Patrice Jarvis Weber will show you the various golden colors that will make the moon glow, and the brush techniques to develop an evergreen tree, dark against the night blue sky. 10/17/25 – On Saturday October 18th, the City of Glens Falls and Green Sheen Paint are teaming up to hold a free, no-limits paint recycling eventfrom 9am to 1pm at East Field on Dix Avenue. Residents, businesses, realtors, and contractorsare welcome to drop off unwanted latex and oil-based paints, stains, and varnishes – any amount, from sample sizes to five-gallon containers. Just make sure the containers are original, non-leaking, and have their labels intact. Spray paints, thinners, and other hazardous materials cannot be accepted. 10/18/25 – On Saturday October 18th, Warren County Public Health will be holding its last rabies clinic of the year from 10am to Noon at the Queensbury Community Center at 742 Bay Road. No appointment is necessary and you don’t have to be a Warren County resident to attend. Please have dogs on a leash and cats or ferrets in a carrier. A $10.00 donation is requested for each pet but no one is turned away due to financial hardship. 10/25/25 – On Saturday October 25th, Up Yonda Farm Environmental Education Center in Bolton Landing will hold its annual “Trunk or Treat” from 3 to 5pm rain or shine.
